This should have happened 10 years ago with platform-business models. Those who tried just didn’t quite fully understand the problems that they were solving and who they were solving them for. It’s really just a failure to identify the key audience and their problems so that real solutions can be created through technology.

look at PropertyGuru. All it’s become is an aggregator of basic information and advertising platform. It’s taken just 1-2 steps out of a 10-step property buying/selling journey. There’s zero reasons why the next 6-7 steps can’t be or hasn’t been taken. Especially for a market as small and as regulated as singapore.

Your previous article detailing your own journey and coming to the conclusion why tech won’t replace property agents highlights the points I made above. Believe you mentioned that there are 30,000 or so agents in this market? there really should just be 2-3,000. the 90% reduction is the value available to be generated.
